The Surgery
The surgery takes from 90 to 150 minutes. The surgeon will make an incision around the areola, vertically down from the breast crease and horizontally along the breast. The implants will be placed through the incisions under the chest muscle.
Recovery Process
After the procedure, you will be instructed to wear a support girdle. Your breasts might be swollen for a couple of weeks. You will be prescribed medication to reduce any pain and soreness around the incisions. Some patients return to work after the first week though you will have to limit exercise or any hard efforts for the first 2 to 6 weeks.
